GUIDED TOUR. A WALK AROUND MONTILLA:

The main entrance to Montilla starts at the crossroad called Los Cuatro Caminos (Four Ways) where the road from Montilla to Montalban and the avenues known as Córdoba, Málaga and Andalucía meet.

This last one, Avenida de Andalucía, passes Pérez Barquero, one of the most important wine cellars in Montilla. Further along we find the renewed Mercedes park, decorated with various sculptures among which the sculpture of the Gran Capitan stands out. Born in the city Don Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba on the 16th March 1453. The sculpture is by Ruiz Olmos.

Near the crossroads we also find the bodegas (wine cellars) of Alvear, the most prestigious and important in the province, founded in 1729.
