Coming up Cuesta del Pescao, to our right, we find the Local Library. On its ground floor there is an open air auditorium and in the adjacent halls the Local History Museum has been installed, dedicated to archaeology. In the a pedagogical way the display in glass cases, many in their original state, artefacts from the Palaeolithic, Neolithic and Bronze periods as well as pre-Roman, Roman, Visigothic and Arabic pieces.

It should be pointed out that the copy of the funerary goods found in Montilla at the beginning of the last century originated from Barcelona. This small treasure consists of gold bracelets and spear and arrow heads.
